Top 6 things you should know when arriving to China

The first few days when you and your family arrive to China are crucial for easy start. 

 Get SIM card
Upon arrival, you will most likely not be able to use your unlocked phone. In order to make it work, you will need to purchase a SIM card from a local provider. With it, you will have service on your phone.

Find An Apartment
If you do not come with an apartment already selected, it is crucial to find one quickly. One of our agents can help you make this process effortless!

Check Wi-Fi
 In Hotels and serviced apartments, you will be able to find Wi-Fi. However, on most other properties, you will not have. In order to set it up, contact your JRE agent and we will help you through the process.

Register Residence
 In your first 24 hours in China, you will need to register with your local police department. If you are staying in a hotel, you can have an employee take care of this for you. If not, you will need to make the visit to the police station yourself.

Complete Health Exam
For all new residence moving into China, you will be required to take a physical health exam. It is mandatory examination, which is only held in one location near the Hongqiao airport. Make sure to have your Foreigner Physical Examination Form completely filled out correctly before you arrive. There are no places near the location to print.

Apply for Residence Permit
 In order to stay in the country, you will need to apply for residence. There are a few documents that you will need to complete in order to do this.
